Return to LA, originally uploaded by Kevin Lau.

When I was in Shanghai, I had a burger from McDonald’s. A definite sign of the desperate times. How I long for the days of easy In -N – Out burgers.

A double double would be worth more than anything at this moment. When will they eventually franchise an In – N- Out in Hong Kong? Maybe I should look into it. People of the world deserve to have true beef heaven. We must all be on an equal cultural level.

First in a long line

I decided to start this blog because I have the amazing opportunity to be close to some extremely accomplished people. This all started with a discussion between my friend Simon Cheung and I. We were very confused with why people in Hong Kong are very short sighted with their marketing agendas and business plans. Six months is the time limit.

What makes this very strange is the fact that the symbol of wealth in Hong Kong is Li Ka Shing. Someone who built his wealth long term through real estate. So if this person is who people in Hong Kong look up to. Why do they follow a culture of short term profits and extreme bubbles? Not sure. So this is where I start. Hopefully I’ll get to ask Diane Stormont to help me out with these answers.
