It's been over a month and it's been difficult. Over the years I've been accustomed to having you stand by me and support me when I've needed it. You've always been there when I needed someone to talk to over the difficult decisions that lie ahead or the irritating situations that have just been past. Thinking about all this makes it difficult. But since you've passed away, I've realized that I was one of the lucky few. One of the lucky few who had the chance to have been mentored by you. At your celebration, after seeing how lucky I was to have been your mentee, and the youngest one to stand up there and share memories of you, I felt beyond privileged. Thank you. It's been difficult to think I'll have to continue walking without your guidance. Yet everything you've taught me is still fresh in my mind. And when I think about how privileged I've been, it makes life easier. Thank you for everything you've done for me and your words will always stay fresh.
